A huge thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Pub for my advanced copy of Swept Away.
What I Loved :
The Romance : Age gap but the woman is older and I don't see a lot of that in books. The Plot : Unique. One night stands stranded at sea is something I definitely haven't read before. The Characters.: with the circumstances and forced proximity we were really able to get to know Lexi and Zeke. The Adventure : This book was a bit of a rollercoaster. The Ending.
Why This Book Lost a Star: There were parts of this book that had me too on edge and that's all I can say with out spoiling it lol.
Overall : Recommend. I look forward to reading whatever Beth O'Leary decides to publish next. ...more

The Sirens was beautifully written and has something for every reader. History, mystery, adventure and fantasy.
I was a huge big of the dual timelines, multiple POVs and diary entries.

I know I should have technically waited until closer to the release date to read this but I just couldn’t help myself. I have been a Martha Hall Kelly fan from the very beginning and she consistently publishes hit after hit. I would honestly recommend any of her books.
I found myself immediately sucked into the story and attached to the characters. I was very invested in every aspect of this novel.
I love books with multiple timelines and POVs especially in historical fiction. There was a great balance with rotating the wartime storyline between sisters Cadance and Briar. I adored them both. I really enjoyed all the characters. Even the side characters had me in a chokehold.
I really don’t have a bad thing to say about this book. I’m not someone who just hands out 5 stars all Willy Nilly. This was a phenomenal read. I will definitely be picking up a signed copy for my shelf this coming spring . ...more

Why This Book Lost Stars:
It took me forever to read. I was intrigued enough to finish the story but not invested. It wasn't a bad book and I still look forward to reading more by this author. I usually listen to Lucy Foley's books on audio and next time I may stick with that format.

I enjoyed this one. I did have some issues with the romance but overall it was a unique, fun and fast paced read for me. I wasn't done reading this title in time for the publication day so I decided to purchase the audio. Great decision on my part. The audio was fantastic.

I absolutely love Beth O'Leary. I just didn't love this book. I almost DNF'd a few times because I simply wasn't enjoying it. I kept pushing through telling myself - this is going to get better. I didn't find the characters to be interesting and I wasn't invested in their romance.
I did enjoy the dual POV. The Setting. I loved the hotel and that the MC's wanted to save it. The premise of this book was very promising.
Al of that being said I still very much look forward to the next Beth O'Leary. Her books are usually a hit for me.
