A collection of Sherlock Holmes short stories set in Australia in 1890 written by talented Australian authors. Most of the stories were very good, with some of the longer ones being excellent. I have a fondness for cosy murder mysteries and this was a very enjoyable collection. My favourites were by Kerry Greenwood and Lindy Cameron, Will Schaefer, Robert Veld, Dr L.J.M Owen and Christopher Sequeira - so now I have some new authors to look up. I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes cosy murder mysteries....more

Updated review: They’re Late Victorian. They hang around in cemeteries (view spoiler)[ and have it off with the gravedigger (I think, I could be mis-remembering and making up something interesting) (hide spoiler)]. I didn’t even get to the suffragette bit this book was supposed to be about because I got bored of the cemetery. Also, the way it was written, chopped and changed from everyone’s point of view which meant I never really cared about any of the characters. Snooze-worthy....more
