It was a cute and entertaining sapphic romcom!
I liked that the femme was the lesbian while the tomboy was bisexual, and that it dealt with biphobia and lesbophobia within the queer community. Bonus points for the autistic and ADHD rep too. And for Margo's agender poly communist brother, who was honestly the star of the show....more

Eso s铆, por lo que he visto es el primer c贸mic que publica la autora, 隆as铆 que estar茅 atenta a su trabajo porque creo que promete mucho!...more

I swear to god this woman puts some kind of drugs in her books, because I can never stop thinking about her mysteries until I get to the end.
It's difficult to write such a twisty and addictive story while developing complex, fleshed-out characters, but she did it - and what a phenomenal thriller it was. As soon as I saw on my audiobook app there was a new novel of hers out, I started listening to it. I just quickly read the synopsis, but I went into it not knowing much else, without checking out any reviews cause I knew she'd surprise me. Still, I wasn't prepared for the roller coaster of emotions The Reappearance of Rachel Price would be.
I also have to say I'm impressed with the characters. After the amazing protagonists from A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, I can't deny the ones from Five Survive (her last novel prior to this one) left me quite disappointed in that aspect. Of course, no one can come close to Pip's charisma and amazing development, but Bel, the main character in this book, proved to be a worthy successor. She has a completely different personality -way angrier and aggressive, smart in her own ways-, which made it impossible not to relate to and root for her. As for Rachel, who was the biggest mystery in the story... I won't say much, but she was such an intricate woman. We love complicated and secretive female characters in this house (for better or worse).
Anyways: I need everyone to read this so I can scream about how fantastic it was with someone!!! Read it if you like Criminal Minds!!!! Read it if you also devoured A Good Girl's Guide to Murder!!!! Read it if you support women's rights and wrongs!!!! Just do yourself a favour and read it. Trust me.
(P. S.: Love the way Holly Jackson so openly hates on the police and justice system in every single one of her novels. What an icon.)...more

Tori was a bit too melodramatic and cynical (more than what we usually see in the Heartstopper comics, I mean), but she was also an interesting character and so was her uncommon relationship with Michael. It's not my favourite work of Oseman, sure, but it isn't my least favourite either, and it kept me entertained. It was also nice to have some more Nick and Charlie content, even if it was more in the background. I guess I need to read This Winter now that I've read everything else in this universe!...more

I lowered it a little bit because the more I think about it, the more I realise I didn't love it.
The concept, ending and character development were really good, and the romance pleasantly surprised me - I hate instalove, but this was so well done that it didn't even feel like instalove; it was actually believable and that takes a lot of talent.
Sadly, it's not a book that impacted me the way it has impacted other people, or that I connected with enough for it to be a 4-star-read for me, if that makes sense. It was still a good read, just not something I enjoyed as much for me to read it again....more
