I was expecting it to be full of action and it really was. All the best characters are back and fighting like hell for their lives. There are lots of surprises and choices have to be made all around and it makes for a great story. There were a number of times where I found myself shocked by something, be it a death or a decision. I was definitely not bored with ARROW!...more

I found the story very interesting, though I can't honestly say I knew what was going on the whole time. It was a bit hard to get into with all the choppiness and scene changes but it got easier once everyone was all together. I really liked the glimpses of other people's stories at the beginning of each chapter. Each character had their own unique story that I didn't get bored with them. There was so much conflict that it really seemed like nobody was ever happy despite their triumphs. It just goes to show you that winning and being in control will not make you perfectly happy because perfection is unatainable. There will always be more to want and more to gain....more
I was really looking forward to reading this book since I love all things Peter Pan. I have to say I was a little disappointed. I was hoping Another PI was really looking forward to reading this book since I love all things Peter Pan. I have to say I was a little disappointed. I was hoping Another Pan would take more from J.M. Barrie's world. I really hated Peter in this story even though at their core both Peters are essentially the same. Another Pan just gives his flaws more light and makes them more obvious. I thought Tina's character was very well written in relation to Tinkerbell. Her jealousy over Wendy and Peter's relationship was obvious. Although Wendy was a huge part of the story I didn't really enjoy her. I thought her rather vapid and self centered and not much different from Peter. I wanted to hit John everytime he opened his idiot mouth. Nobody talks like that even in movies. His dialogue went way overboard. Mr. Darling's character was the same as in Barrie's Pan. He's both quirky and awkward around others but he loves his children unconditionally. For some reason I keep thinking that Mrs. Darling ran way with Peter years ago though it never says that. I really wish there were more of a connection between Another Pan and Another Faust. This almost doesn't seem like it should be in the same series. Vileroy is almost a completely different character but maybe that's the point. I figured her encompassing Captain Hook was an obvious choice. Simon though was lost on me. I wasn't really sure what the "happy thoughts" segments were all about either, since most weren't very happy. Aside from the characters I enjoyed the adventure of this story. Another Pan wasn't what I'd hoped but I did find it enjoyable....more

I've never read the original Jeckyll and Hyde so I can't really make comparisons. I like how in Another Jeckyll, Another Hyde everything ends up coming full circle. The whereabouts of the Faust children were finally revealed if not their final fates. I would have liked an epilogue on ehat the children all ended up doing after Vileroy was gone, although you do find out one thing about Christian. I would have also liked to know if Annie ever told anyone about her suspicions surrounding Thomas. She seemed like the type to not back down. I really liked Thomas in this book. He wasn't just a snobby rich kid like everyone though. His life was not perfect. The fact that he missed Belle so much was nice to know, it showed a deeper feeling within him. I had thought Vileroy would play a more obvious role, but I guess she did through other means. Edward is technically a part of her so she played a major role. I felt really bad for Thomas having to deal with another voice in his head. Can you imagine how scary it would be to have such long blackouts? In the end Thomas was stronger than Edward and he closed him out. Humans are powerful beings especially when backed into a corner.

I did not imagine that I would enjoy it so much. I was extremely skeptical before opening it, for obvious reasons. I've never been all that interested in America's presidents or the Civil War but I found this fascinating. To use vampires as the main focus of Abraham Lincoln's every move was brilliant. The way it was put together makes it seem not all that far fetched. There was a reason behind every move Lincoln made, and that reason was vampires. To think, the Civil War was fought to eradicate the American vampires! Fact and fiction were woven together so well that it's difficult to separate the truth and real history from the fictional aspects, and that makes for a great historical fiction. I enjoyed growing up with Abraham Lincoln through his journal entries. I'm not a major history buff so I don't know if all the real historical facts are correct and I'm sure most other people that read this don't have a clue either, so even if there are some facts that are incorrect it doesn't ruin the story. I would have liked to know what parts were based in history, though. Also, what ever happened to the store clerk from the beginning? He was never mentioned after the initial starting point. *SPOILER* What I most want to know is how Abraham felt about becoming that which he hunted. Was it worth it for him to become faster and stronger so that he could more ably fight other vampires?*SPOILER* I thought this was a fantastic piece of historical fiction (I call it that for lack of a better genre). The writing was done very well and the story progressed smoothly. I enjoyed the journal entries and letters immensely. This is a book I would definitely read again and enjoy every minute of. ...more
