I understand the author(s) critique of the matter, but I also question some of their economics as well. Cryptocurrencies came out of the Austrian School of Economics, or at least it was more quickly embraced by those from that school. I question there own foundation in economics when they argue certain things from that macroeconomic perspective. Nevertheless, their observations do prove true about the regulatory space.
I admit, I was apprehensive opening up these books only because the space is developing some quickly. For example, when the author wrote this book China did have a bulk of the share of the BTC Mining power, since then a lot of Mining companies moved to America. However, even in America we are looking at a lot more regulations as the central government begins getting a better handle on the matter.
Rapid development is a double-edged sword, but you won't be able to have an opinion until you have some skin in the game - I don't recall these authors stating whether or not they did, but their experience is certainly colored by their big business/government background-relation....more

This book covers multiple facets of Fiduciary Law. Sometimes, the political opinions of the respective author comes through, but on the whole if you have a discerning eye you can distill the political from the legal and philosophical concepts. Wat I like about the book is that each chapter is written by someone different and that both sides of the argument are typically broached in each chapter....more

The language is a bit confusing a times, I tried my best to highlight what I thought was relevant to my position and things to keep in mind as I go forward as I learn this role. My main dislike from this book was the since the full debate was brought to bare it would be nice if it was better organized, I felt like it was skipping and jumping around a lot....more

I just started a new job as a Fiduciary, and learning how to be an executor of the estates of the individual is obviously a key to this. The author writes both in short, succinct chapters, but also with just a enough humor and honesty to appreciate the human element that goes behind being in charge of the affairs of another's property. Even on a personal level, as the oldest child, I had often wondered how I would attend to my parents estate when they die, this book will be most helpful. Highly recommended!...more

The book was written in a manner that I found to be rightly organized with the most fundamental concepts at the beginning and the more advanced concepts at the end. I recommend taking notes, depending on the extent of your role (if you dont outsource certain parts) you may not need to know it all, but it is still there for you to refer to.
Of course this is subject to change, I was reading the 4th Edition of the book and certain facts may have been subject to addition, removal, alteration....more

I do find it ironic, reading the conclusion of this book that his introduction to the world of conflict resolution started shortly after 9/11 and whether to negotiate with the Taliban - which the author approved of. As of the day of this post, the Taliban have retaken the country but at least we got Osama bin Laden. Perhaps, in the early days of 9/11 we were all gun-ho and all our rational considerations were hijacked by the emotions of revenge rather than serving true justice to the specific party responsible for carrying out the attacks (ie. al-Qaeda and radical Sunni Islam)....more
