This was an enjoyable read, I liked the main character and that this book didn't seem to rely on cliffhangers and retreading the same information over and over. I was a little disappointed that this Besties graphic novel wasn't about Beth and Chandra, I've been enjoying their adventures. And though Trent and SI was a little disappointed that this Besties graphic novel wasn't about Beth and Chandra, I've been enjoying their adventures. And though Trent and Sawyer are fun to read about, and I liked getting to know them a little better, I don't really think they have main character energy. I also found the plot kind of tiring, the pranks just wouldn't stop and it was getting a little boring tbh. Still, this is a great universe, and I enjoy all the characters and the art. I wasn't familiar with the story of Heidi, I've never read the book or seen the movie or anything, so this was my first experience. And it was enjoyabI wasn't familiar with the story of Heidi, I've never read the book or seen the movie or anything, so this was my first experience. And it was enjoyable enough, but I don't think this graphic novel format really did it for me. Though the art was wonderful, the text was minimal, and it made me want more exposition - though the text was so small that sometimes I struggled, so more text would be even smaller for these old eyes!
