As I read more of their books, I fall more and more in love with this family. So far, Mason is my favorite Lawson brother. He is a former Nave SEAL who comes home and wants to live in solitude. That is, until he actually met his neighbor. Skylar is an incredible character. She has a passion for music and wants to share her passion by teaching children how to play. Then Mason enters her life, and changes everything. Their story gives me hope. It makes my heart swell. I didn't want this book to end. I highly recommend all Marquita's books, but this one, by far, is my favorite. ...more

This book is an amazing best friend love story. It is also one of my favorite types of stories. I believe to have a great foundation in a relationship, you must be friends first. Sydney and Brody are an excellent example of just that.
I loved watching their relationship blossom through the interesting situation Sydney placed them in. I rooted for them and cried with them. My heart will never be the same.
