I want to keep reading because I just want to see her be put in her place, and thank goodness Cal and Farley finally did it!!! however I don't think it was enough. Is the authors intent to make u hate her right now??? Like I am truly reading only because I'm praying I get to see her arrogant self-centered personally get herself into really bad trouble and learn a lesson!!! I want her plan to blow up in her face! I hate her! And I actually really try to like her, but I just can't!! Now Cal on the other hand... could we rewrite that whole book and make it about him and his perspective!!!! I just feel awful for the guy! I am a little mad. How can he just get over the fact that because of Mare he lost EVERYTHING!!?! And now he loves her? What?! No thanks!! Farley...more
Yes, yes, yes! This book has everything I require for a good book! A strong kickass heroine, a screwed up monarchy, a rebellion, and of course some awYes, yes, yes! This book has everything I require for a good book! A strong kickass heroine, a screwed up monarchy, a rebellion, and of course some awesome guy/guys! What I didn't like was- the plot was predictable, However even though you could predict what was going to happen you still wanted to read and see it play out. There was some elements that I loved in this book, like you have two sides that firmly believe in their side. Unlike in other series the guy & girl both knew one side is corrupt. This series both parties think their side is right.

First the positive- the audible reader was good. The concept was awesome. I love that she is has a "negative" power, and by the end it had me wanting more, I want to see her wrath! So it makes me want to read the next book. I also liked that you got to see the main character hit rock bottom (and I'm sure we will watch her come out of it)
The negatives I did not connect with her character at all. Her decisions made no sense, I didn't feel a connection between her and the other characters. She supposedly had a relationship with the prince, but I don't know when that happened?? The ghost of her dad is weird. I'll read on, but only if I rent from the library....more
