Ms. Ann never fails to amaze me with her unconventional characters and unconventional stories. Not quite the same as what's usually available nowadays. And I LOVE it!
This book jumps from past and present. Though it wasn't that much of an issue to me, I would've preferred it better had the chapters indicate who's pov is it.
Everything falls into place and just when I thought my hunch is correct.. I am left dumbfounded.
This book is only a part of a bigger mystery that will be unveiled in the next book.
In the meantime, this is me as I eagerly wait for the next installment.

For some unknown reason, I've been saving the Preston Brothers. Been on my readers for quite sometime now, waiting for the right time to read it. And once I started, I. Am. Hooked.
A story of friendship, heartache and love. It is full of angst, making me bleed... but it puts me back together at the same time.
I love how Jay manages to transport me and live with the Prestons. Luke's playing the role of a big brother, his dedication to take care of his brothers especially his "one minute" time with Lachlan. I also love their bonding as a brothers.
Was he perfect? Heck no! Initially I hate Luke for constantly hurting Lane. Always forgetting whenever Laney asked him to attend some events, his string of dates and girlfriends then go jealous/possesive upon knowing about who Laney dates.
Finally, his eyes were opened and he redeemed himself by showing Laney how he really loves her. Truly. For eternity.
This book tugs my heart. Especially when it comes to the Preston Brothers and Lachlan. He is so adorable.
