This could have easily been a Stephen King novel. Way too long, it could have benefitted from cutting out about 2-300 pages. As it started out well, it slowed down to almost a crawl. There's too much droning on, unnecessary backtracking, and certain events and twists are often given away before you get to them. And perhaps in the most Stephen King like manner, the dialog is so poorly written, you're just sitting there tolling your eyes, thinking "no one talks like this" the whole time. ...more
