i kind of don’t like margot lol she’s such a hater but it’s also kind of funny so i didn’t mind it all that much. she’s also kind of selfish so it adds to my dislike for her. i will say that she truly does care a lot about the people she loves though. she’s not a terrible person, she’s just flawed and that’s okay. that makes her human.
forrest IS a cliche. that’s kind of the point. but did i eat him up anyway? yeah i did. did i melt a little inside every time he called margot sweetheart? you bet your ass i did. he sort of reminds me of a teddy bear in a way, based on the way margot sees him. he’s got the whole survivalist thing going on and he would do anything for his family, including giving up a crap ton of breast cancer research money.
i found the plot to be a fun one. i did want to throw my kindle across my room and hope it would shattered against the wall at one point but i didn’t. it did feel a little slow at times but it picked up before i could get bored....more

charlotte is kinda spicy and i LOVE it. she’s got the best comebacks to everything, especially finn’s attempts at flirting. her best friend willow is the same but i think willow might even be spicier based on her one interaction with finn.
lucas is honestly just a big softie. he’s very respectful of charlotte’s boundaries for her diabetes. he always anticipates what she’ll need before he realizes she needs it.
overall a very cute ending to the drive me series!...more

did a buddy read with olivia (@modernbooklore) because we’re both on ann’s teams so it has been really fun drawing up theories in our dms. however one question still remains: WHAT HAPPENED TO THE NOTE??? i think someone snuck in and stole it.
overall a cute read! i thought it was going to be a 3⭐️ but the last 30% bumped my rating up. i loved the fact that fallon’s dream was to open an allergy-friendly restaurant in new york. i feel like that’s very unique and honestly i don’t know why there aren’t any here? or maybe they do exist and i just haven’t come across one yet? either way, i thought it was sweet she paid homage to her mom through the restaurant. her parents would be proud of her and her grandma will forever remain a bitter old hag (that was kind of mean but she deserved it).
harrison is so supportive of everyone he loves and he’s the type of guy to love someone with his entire chest. he adores his family, which is why he gave up his hockey career to take over stafford holdings. idk that i could ask for more from harrison, he’s pretty perfect if i say so myself.
while the book was cute, i just expected more. the book fell a little flat and i wish the pranks kept going back and forth between fallon and harrison. it seems that their pranks stopped after about 3 exchanges :/ i know they’ve got more in them and it definitely would’ve been fun to see them together like that in addition to being so in love.
ok turns out i have one more thing i didn’t think of: the setting. this is supposed to take place in nyc. the brooklyn bridge and a yellow cab are on the cover and that made me think they were important in some way to their story and it’s just…not. honestly the “new york parts didn’t even feel like new york, it’s just ✨penthouse. but where IS said penthouse? looking over central park? tribeca?? along the east river?? hudson yards?? dumbo??? maybe i’m being a little harsh but i’m a native new yorker ...more

i am a sucker for anything that’s set in new york because i like to point out all the places i recognize as a native new yorker so this book was right up my alley.
this book was cute but i didn’t really feel a connection to dylan or parker. dylan is an over thinker, which is fine, i am one too but i find it a little hard to believe that she didn’t change the way she thought about their relationship a little bit? i have no idea if that make ANY sense but i definitely feel like she did a little bit of healing away from parker but she’s still approaching their relationship the same way she did when they first dated.
i had higher hopes for this book but it’s just okay for me. i didn’t love it but i didn’t particularly hate it either. it’s just okay....more
