2.5 stars - took me a while to finish this one, in fact I read another book between starting and finishing this one and I think it was because I just 2.5 stars - took me a while to finish this one, in fact I read another book between starting and finishing this one and I think it was because I just wasn't feeling the pull of the pages - I'm tempted to say it was too long but to cut anything out would be hard to do because there are so many characters and storylines, so cutting down the page count wouldn't work - maybe a storyline or too would. Middle of the road for me. I have enjoyed many Jane Green books in the past and I can see how her writing style has changed over time, which isn't a bMiddle of the road for me. That's not saying this one is bad, it isn't, it's just different. I love the lightness of some of her previous works and this one is more serious - which again isn't bad but something to consider when deciding what kind of book you're in for. ...more

Mm, I keep reading these but they're not getting better. They're still quick reads but it is almost for the sake of reading rather than getting good oMm, I keep reading these but they're not getting better. I can't complain though because I still buy them, nobody forces me to. I guess I am hoping they'll get better. Maybe one day I'll quit....more
