Gives her enough time to grow and learn some stuff. Though out the years the banter is very hard since she can't trust him she thinks he would hurt her like he told her grandpa when she turned 18. The sexual tension is also high between them since he wants her to stay and be with him but any steps forward is a step back since she reminds him he killed her family.
Now before she hits 21 she gives in they have there moments but she still wants freedom and he let's her go... my heart broke that he let her go to see the world. Until drama has her almost married to a old man and abused. That doesn't stop Viktor from making a bloody mess.
