We met some of the gang in the last book so when we first get to see him in his glory he was helping a girl who got drugged and almost raped he does the gentleman thing and takes her to her cousin house and that’s when he is sprung he meets Leah may who is alil nervous and blabs many facts about things but he knows he can’t do nothing she’s a girl of the church they wouldn’t work out. Little did he know Leah has been sorta stalking him from afar she knows him years ago being his little shadow now he saw her but nothing happens this is Leah make it or break it can she keep doing this to herself. From that moment on Devon feels her sees her and she makes it known that she can take care of herself. I love their chemistry and how no matter what she does or says he thinks it’s cute.. even when she id caught by the guys and him when they were taking care of some trash.
We also see Devon’s horrible past and some demons that are coming back, the villain I was surprised but further in I guessed who it was. Glad things worked out for everyone in the end.

We see what happens to her the shell of a woman and she gets rescued by Damian who wasn’t there for her just at the right time. The way he act with her was alittle cold, because we see him later on in the story so sweet to another girl he rescued and like the h he was so sweet understanding all that but with her cold and standoffish. Even if in his POV he was smitten by her and wanting to protect her. I didn’t feel that when they were together. Even later down the road he tried to warm up being sweet but the push with her SA.. had me go meh.
So yeah was disappointed near 60% and on.. might read the next one in this series but if the men are like Damian and not at least caring it’s probably this series I didn’t connect with.

Not a good look he’s also a jerk he already demanded that Theresa obey his rules and him. She’s like I just met you naw. She also hated just because her mother got married those rules apply to her. Sunday dinners, events and later in the story Arranged marriage!! The chemistry and banter between them was off the charts. Nik did bite himself in the butt once he told Theresa that she was getting married after they slept together the first time� (don’t worry that doesn’t happen) angry and hurt she kept her distance from the man until her wedding day and found out a switch a roo happened now her stepbrother turned into her husband. I know!!!! But beside them and there banter there was drama with rival family’s ans a cousin who loved to torture Theresa when they were younger.. don’t worry she gets what’s coming to her.

And the last brother� Nikolay I swear this man had so much guilt and pain from what his asshole father did to him. These 4 caught there attractions to one another Iris tried to keep her secret of killing her husbands but was falling.. and when she’s betrayed there coming after her and them. But with her lying the trust is broken.. cold shoulders, almost killing one another and flaunting ow (one brother did he let them rub against him and touch him nothing more) to make Iris heartbroken and jealous.
My heart broke for all of them there was one scene that has one H torturing h so be warned I thought they wouldn’t get there hea.. with all that against them and someone dying.. I was glad they had each others back to them awhile� but glad they did at the end.
