I have loved everything she's released so far and feel as though I've been waiting for so long for this one to come out! While this book can be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend reading all the books (in order) for maximum enjoyment. Her books are perfect for anyone who likes a more modern writing style with plenty of humor tossed in and lots of strong, forward-thinking heroines (think Sarah MacLean or Tessa Dare).
Last we left off in the series (without any spoilers), the three youngest Waverly sisters found their HEAs, making a grand total of 5 married children for our mama & papa Waverly. All is right in the world, right? Wrong. Turns out the eldest, and star of this newest release didn’t get the HEA she obviously deserves and fate will assist her on that journey while she (gasp!) seeks a divorce from a titled peer. Luckily for her, her barrister just happens to take the form of a rugby playing, golden retriever of a hunk.
If you can deal with the trigger warnings (mainly emotional abuse on the page, physical abuse referred to and the scars left behind), you'll be treated to a really wonderful story of strength and healing.not to mention some delightfully steamy scenes!
If you haven't read any of Ginny Moore's books yet, what on earth are you waiting for? If you have, then you likely didn't even need to read this review in the first place because you'd already be hitting buy/download! Happy reading!...more

It’s just not my thing. However, I love everything Felicity has released thus far so I didn’t want to miss out on this one…but I definitely approached with caution…a 21 year old heroine with a 43 year old MMC? Eeek!
But leave it to Ms. Niven’s wordcraft wizardry to somehow make this all ok for this trope-weary reader with a truly charming (not to mention delightfully hot) story.
Our heroine is bright and sunny. She sees the good in the world and wants happiness for those she loves Our hero is a bit downtrodden, believing he deserves the rough hand he's been dealt Anyone familiar with HR and HEAs knows exactly how this is going to go...but, as always, Felicity Niven makes the journey of getting there so gratifying.
In the short span of pages that a novella affords, the readers are gifted with fully fleshed out characters and sparkling chemistry, delivering what may be the most endearing couple in the Niven-verse. It is rare to come across a couple in HR who truly satisfy the voids that exist in each other. And toss in an adorable toddler just to help the heart overflow.
I LOVE historical romance. I devour over a hundred of them a year. However, my picks are almost exclusively anchored in regency or Victorian England. I LOVE historical romance. I devour over a hundred of them a year. However, my picks are almost exclusively anchored in regency or Victorian England. Sure, I ventured to Gilded Age NY with Joanna Shupe and wasn’t disappointed, but other than that, other “field trips haven’t really been enjoyed. Then I discovered Tanya Fischer and now I can’t get enough.
After reading her first two masterful releases (Letters to Dogwood and Poppies & Silk), I’m now obsessing over her latest: Trail of Sunflowers (releasing 8/31).
All of Fischer’s works are so romantic and so beautifully written, you will fall in love with her cast of characters (who are developed and strewn throughout the three novels). Trail of Sunflowers focuses on Isa, who has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Junior (beloved rake of a cowboy), since the age of 16. While their relationship was hinted at in book 1 of Fischer’s Texas Bloom series, this book can be read as a standalone (but really, why bother when they’re all gems?). Isa & Junior take both a physical and emotional adventure across the state of Texas, complete with lots of tension-filled forced proximity, single bed sharing and sexual tension so palpable that even a scene containing just a single kiss feels like it deserves its own flame score.
Warning: Fischer doesn’t shy away from the hard stuff. Her books are laden with potential trigger warnings, all filling Texas-sized plot holes throughout. That being said, I’ve rarely come across an author so talented in dealing with them; making you go through ALL the emotions before a sealed beautifully with a HEA at the conclusion.
These books/characters are now living rent-free in my head and I have a book hangover to deal with. I will read whatever Tanya Fisher writes next! ...more

A shy wallflower with hidden courage and vast amounts of cleverness coupled with a gruff, tormented, gentleman-in-name-only? Yes please.
This dual POV novel delivers all the romance and charm you’ve come to expect from this author, but this one also tosses in enjoyable gifts like spies! Intrigue! Danger! So.much.fun. It was literally one of those books that kept me up past my bedtime because I couldn’t put it down (a.k.a. ‘just one more chapter! syndrome).
Readers can rely on Vasti for her entertaining rom-com storytelling…but what you’re also getting is her skill (for what might possibly be the best in the genre) for the tormented MMC who falls first. It’s truly a pleasure as a reader to feel what the MMC is feeling rather than just be told (and often left unconvinced).
This book (and its predecessor, Ne’er Duke Well) aren’t specifically titled as part of a series, but they are indisputably linked in the Vasti-verse (same characters, continuing storylines, etc). It seems fairly evident that this book is setting up for a third story (without spoilers: Another character introduced in Ne’er Duke Well is reintroduced in Earl Crush, set up to play a nice juicy role here…but I feel like that ‘juicy role opportunity wasn’t fully taken advantage of within these pages).
Despite this, I will be first in line to read whatever Ms. Vasti publishes next! ...more

The latest insBed Me, Earl Book 3 in the Bed me series (can be read as a stand alone) By Felicity Niven Available 11/9 Available also on Kindle Unlimited
The latest installment in Felicity Niven’s Bed Me series and, quite possibly, the best so far. Of course, that may be a bit biased as I have a weakness for an unrepentant rake who falls hard!
Bed Me, Earl introduces us to Lady Caroline (or Caro), a woman who goes after what she wants, the best way she knows how (albeit using ways that are sometimes a bit misguided). Caro struggles with a speech impediment, having difficulty with using her words. Naturally, she finds her match in Phineas, the rogue who charms everyone with his incessant (but often empty) chatter!
If you stick through all of the dips, turns and yes, even occasional lulls in the book, the story does a great job developing not only their love story, but each of the characters individually and helping them both to find their own voices in a meaningful way.
Steam level in the book is high but, warning: the hero does like to speak in the third person while getting intimate. This was a little bit of a turnoff for me, but I did think it fit his (initially) self-absorbed character well.
My only other callout is that I wish there was more mention & interaction with the characters we’ve already met and fallen in love with along the way. As a big fan of Bed Me, Duke & Bed Me, Baron, it would have been so great to see more glimpses into their happily-ever-afters while falling in love with this new duo.
If you’re unfamiliar with Niven’s work, her writing: Is well written and deliciously steamy Often involves characters that are somewhere on the neurodivergent spectrum or at least has a trait that makes them unique. She gifts us with brand new personalities that aren’t just the ‘cookie cutter variety found in so many HR stories Makes you long for the next release as soon as you’ve finished the last page (or devoured the bonus epilogues offered on her website)
I am grateful for the ARC given to me by the author for my honest review....more
