This book had an open ending, something that I usually despise and pass off as the author’s laziness, but with this one, I could tell that it was well thought out and planned. I love this series so much just because of the amazing ideas. I mean, I loved the plot as always and Marie Lu’s writing style is one of my favorite ever. I had to reread the book to fully comprehend it’s beauty. I appreciate that even the complete soldier by heart, Thomas, has regrets for just blindly following orders. That shows some real character development. Also, don’t lie. I know that everyone cried at this part.

I usually end up complaining about how the sequels never live up to my standards after the first book raised them. I am so happy to say that there has not been such a problem this time. Prodigy is so amazing that I can’t even. I loved the introduction of Anden as a main character. I loved Marie Lu’s writing style as usual. She is one of my favorite authors of all time because of this series. I can’t wait to read the third book and die crying in a puddle of my tears!...more
