I've fallen down the fantasy and Lgbt hole recently but the genre isn't very packed as it is for straight fae books. So I was so happy to try this and really happy with the outcome. I liked it and thought it was refreshing.
Now I will say, and this is completely on me, you should definitely read the trigger warnings because it has some, well it's got a bit more than some. But only a few had me to where I had to remove myself from the world and take a breather.
Overall a good book I think you should try after you read the triggers and make sure it's a safe book for your mental health....more

I didn't hate this book and felt it was maybe written for a different demographic or person because I just didn't connect well.
I love witches and think changing it up while keeping old norms is good but honestly, I didn't feel like this book offered that for me which is why I had such a hard time throwing myself into the world and the character's experiences.
This book could very well be someone's favorite I just feel like it wasn't mine. But I know someone will like it because we all like different things....more

From the beginning until the end you will want more, no you will need more. The world-building is easy to follow and the characters relatable enough you feel like you don't just want to follow their adventures BUT NEED to!

A Universe of Wishes edited by Dhonielle Clayton is such a fantastic and creative YA fantasy anthology. There are so many talented and wonderful authors that have contributed to this fantastic book.
My favorite story was A Royal Affair by V.E. Schab because I was already a huge fan before this book came out but literally didn't know it was possible to fall in love more with her writing.

A Golden Fury by Samantha Cohoe started out and was even outlined to be my great read for the year, but fell a little short. Not to say I don't enjoy it because I definitely did and I think for someone else this could easily be the best book they read.
I think as the plot went further in like maybe a quarter of the way in I found myself a little lost sometimes or thinking, but why? I think it was that I would have liked more character growth as we went deeper into the story.
Long story short, I didn't fall head over heels in love with the story but also didn't hate it. It was a happy medium. I will definitely try more of Samantha's book though!...more

I am a huge fan of Guardians of the Galaxy and Gamora is one of my favorites so I was very interested in this story and was pretty much addicted from beginning to the end. If you haven't been associated with the fandom you might be confused sometimes and need refreshing. Though if you are up to date and know the fandom this will be super fun and also very enjoyable I think.
It has an amazing plot and character-driven parts and the world is something you can vividly imagine.
