I’ve read and enjoyed a few of the other books from Sarah and I’m wondering if maybe I would have liked this one more if I would have read the previous book in the series (which I didn’t realize this was part of a series.)
I think I liked Zelda and Morgan. They’re both chaotic and messy and their relationship started out cute then Morgan showed his ass a bunch and then maybe it was cute again? I did like Zelda’s sisters and how supportive they were, but the real star of the book was Zelda’s niece Aisling.
Plot wise, it’s all over the place. I spent a good part of the book wondering if magic is actually real in this world or if everyone was just delusional (again, something that might have been established for me if I read the first book.) I skimmed portions of the pages and pages of inner monologue to find what was likely supposed to be sassy banter disguised as flirting, but by then, I just wanted answers.
Overall, something kept me reading this story, yet I can’t tell you what it was.

I liked Amerie and Vincent. They're both loyal and good people who love whole heartedly. Together they have so much potential and it feels like we just scratched the surface between them. The best part of this book is the relationship between Amerie and her BFF Gina.
Plot wise, it was okay. I could have done with a few more open conversations between Amerie and Vincent. I wanted so much to fall in love with them, yet there was something holding me back from being able to.
Overall, this was a cute story, but it was really easy for me to set it down. I do look forward to future books from Etta.

I really liked Breezy and Jed. They're both good, friendly people. Together they find a quick connection, sprinkled with banter and sweet moments. There are a good amount of characters, but it's firmly Breezy and Jed (although j could have done with more Granny Dee.)
Plot wise, it was okay. There's definitely more telling than showing and I would have liked to have actually read the conversations rather than a glossing over of what was said. The story moves quickly and with several plot threads, everything gets a mention instead of a description.
Overall, I think this would have flourished with an expanded story, but it was a good start to a series.

I love love loved Chandler and Finn. They're both lovely and sensitive people who are looking for something more for their lives. Together these two have a load of chemistry, even more banter, and even more open communication. I also really loved the family members that were highlighted in the story.
Plot wise, it was perfect. I loved their meet cute, their awkward night, their even more awkward business meeting, and how they worked forward from it. It might not be a slow burn in the physical aspect, but it is in every other way, and it's delicious. I especially loved the last chapter.
Overall, this story was a damn delight and it was so easy to root for these characters. I can't wait to read it again.

I tried. I really did. I loved the idea, nothing about it worked for me.
The characters were bland, the plot line was lacking tension, and there were way too many POVs. Everything felt disjointed and I couldn't settle into caring about the characters.
From the high ratings, I'm in the minority. I do have another book from the author, so I am going to try one more.

I love love loved Gigi and Alec. She’s smart and fun. He’s charming and loyal. Together they have childhood history and instant chemistry and so much adorable likability that it was almost disgusting. I loved Eden and her reaction to everything. And while there are other secondary characters, this story is firmly Gigi and Alec’s.
Plot wise, it was so good. The time frame is specific (which I appreciated) and their connection was fantastic. I enjoyed the balance of sweet and serious and even the angsty breakup didn’t get me down. The last few chapters were perfection, only best out by the epilogue.
Overall, this was a story that I devoured with characters that were so easy to root for. I woke up thinking about this story and reread the ending several times before I could close the book.
FYI: sexual assault and rape is a main topic that Gigi is working on for an article. There are no on the page scenes, but discussions about drugging women and them being videotaped while raped

I love love loved Nina. She's a squishy marshmallow underneath her crunchy exterior and I looooooved reading her relax and truth become the strong person she is. Morty has been an enigma in the background and I was legit thrilled to see he was the MC. Oh, and he's a damn delight, just as I expected.
Plot wise, it's so good. I loved the magic and magical bond aspect and (of course) the romance. Reading the difference between Nina and Morty's families was fun as was Jessa, Nina's BFF (I'll just be over here hoping she gets a story).
Overall, I feel like I don't have the right words for this review, but it was like getting a hug. I really hope there's a million more books to this series because I'm going to read all of them.

I3.5 stars
I loved this premise and even though I don't watch The Bachelor, I couldn't resist (what I thought was) an adult romance from Julie Murphy.
I liked Cindy. She's smart and loving and kind. Her family is different and I sort of loved it, especially since it's a twist on the evil step-family trope. Prince Charming does seem charming, but the interactions between him and Cindy are short and rushed and I could see how they could like like like each other, but the jump to love wasn't there for me. There are a lot of characters here, but this is firmly Cindy's journey.
Plot wise, it was a quick read and that kept me interested. I sort of expected a lot of drama and pining away due to the dating show, but it wasn't really like that. Cindy is shown having real conversations with other women and it was refreshing. I think my main complaint is that for me, it still read like a YA. Cindy's inner monologue is on the younger side and while I enjoyed it and wanted to know how it ended, I could have easily skipped to the end and been just as satisfied.
Overall, it was a fun story with a good amount of nods to the story of Cinderella. I look forward to reading others in the series.

I loved Adrian. She’s smart and motivated and strong as hell. I loved her loyalty to her friends and family and the bond they all had together. Raylan is charming and driven and a grounded. Together they have a great history and I loved reading their relationship progress. Plus there are two of the sweetest dogs ever.
Plot wise, it was so good. The suspense wasn’t as tension filled as I expected, but I loved the storyline and how it unfolded. Getting the killer’s POV was an extra creepy added bonus. I would have loved a future take apologize, but I’m probably being greedy.
Overall, it was a fantastic story with characters I loved. I can’t wait to get to another Nora romantic suspense.
FYI: scene of a dog getting shot on the page, you find out a few pages later it’s a tranquilizer gun, and the dog is fine

I love love loved Jasmine and Ashton. They’re both hardworking people who love their jobs and their families. I loved seeing the loyalty and exasperation from both of them. Together they have amazing chemistry and I truly enjoyed seeing their relationship progress so organically.
Plot wise, it was good. The chapters slash scenes of the episodes were an interesting way to show time moving as well as compliment the character’s emotions while playing on screen exes. The blow up was what I expected, but the angsty times didn’t last line and the grand gesture was fantastic.

Well, I think a lot of the semi-disappointment was due to the overwhelming hype. I’ve heard so many people screaming about this book and I couldn’t wait to jump in...the fact that it took me 4 days to read speaks volumes.
I liked Oliver much more than I liked Luc. Oliver is stuffy and standoffish and is overflowing with hidden passion. Luc is messy and maybe a little childish and I struggled a bit with being in his head. There’s a pretty big group of friends, but I didn’t have any feelings either way about anyone.
Plot wise, it meant well. There’s a lot of inner monologue and I need dialogue. And while I know the main portion of this book was their fake relationship becoming real, I wanted more of them officially together.
Overall, I loved the idea of this and I did like some of the sweet parts, but it didn’t have the spark for me that it seemed to have for everyone else.

I liked Sloan. She’s tough and loyal and absolutely loves her job. There are a few other characters in this book, but we just got the surface with them. I did love all of the bickering between Sloan and her dad and could have easily read a million more scenes of them together.
Plot wise, it was okay. I was expecting this to be more of a thriller, but it felt procedural and all of the interagency talk got me a bit wrapped up. I enjoyed all of the diving scenes and once the goal was revealed, the story really got moving.
Overall, it was the characters who kept me reading and I look forward to reading the next in the series.

I loved Alexis and Noah. She’s stronger than she thinks and he’s gooey-er than he knows. Together they have such a supportive relationship that it was delightful reading them figure out how to progress into something new. Of course it was fun seeing the rest of the group and the club.
Plot wise, it was mostly good. I really struggled with parts of the family things that happened and found myself angry with Alexis for some of her decisions. I wanted more fluff between Alexis and Noah (because they sure af deserve it); this seemed more drama filled and it was unexpected.
Overall, it was another great story. I absolutely love this group of characters and could easily read them forever.

I might have liked GBetween that cover and the synopsis, I was expecting a fairly fluffy romance. Let me tell you right now, this is not that at all.
I might have liked Georgina if the story would have been about her. Instead there’s eleventy billion characters and plot directions and I found myself skimming through anything that wasn’t her and Lucas. As for Lucas, I didn’t feel like we actually learned anything about him.
Plot wise, it’s a mess. The writing was all over the place and I never felt settled. I will say there are a lot of great passages about misogyny and gaslighting and how women are expected to act and I think a lot of those sections are was kept me interested. The last two or three chapters felt focused and would have been worth the wait if this book wasn’t 400+ pages.
Overall, I was completely misled by the synopsis. I don’t think I would have requested it if it would have been more accurate and I’m left wondering if two stars is too high.
FYI: there’s a very long scene of a character talking about being sexually assaulted.

As with all of these books, I am living for the introductions and behind the scenes info we get. There have been mentions of hints placed in earlier episodes that pan out in these episodes and basically, I just want to hole up and binge listen from the beginning.

I liked I had heard amazing things about this story. I am all about the fluff and I couldn’t resist the idea of a cute and fluffy boy/boy love story.
I liked Alex and Henry. I loved their loyalty to each other and the pride in their countries. I especially loved the siblings and friendships. I absolutely want to hang out with the super six.
Plot wise, I will say I struggled a bit. It took me 5 days to read this and that’s basically unheard of. No matter how much I was enjoying it, I never got captivated. At times, the plot felt repetitive and it was easy to set down. Once the conflict happened, I was all in and the last 1/3 or so of the book had me screaming and cheering and I couldn’t get enough.
Overall, it is a book of pure fluff. It’s also amazingly hopeful and an interesting commentary on politics.

I had read a couple of the other books in this series and was pretty much on board with whoever got a story next.
I loved Lucy and Duffy. They’re both such good people, they have a childhood history, and they’ve both been in love with the other since forever. Sam was adorable and stole every scene he was in. Of course the family appearances were fantastic. I loved seeing Frankie and Eric and I think I missed a book, but I need to go back and read it.
Plot wise, it was sweet. It did get repetitive at parts, but I was so invested in these characters, I didn’t care. I would have liked to see more of Lucy and Duffy spending time together. At times it seemed like I was being told they had chemistry and feelings.
Overall, it was a cute and mostly fluffy story. I’ll definitely keep reading this series.

I liked Dino and July well enough. They’re both so stubborn and even though at the root of all of this, they’re stupidly loyal to each other, their relationship felt a little toxic. I really liked Rafi and his group of friends. And Dino’s family is pretty rad too.
Plot wise, it was okay. There was a lot of arguing, a lot of commentary on current events, a lot of great lines and a lot of love between the groups. Even with all of these great things, it felt boring. I never completely connected to any of these characters and could have easily DNF’d without wondering how it ended.
Overall, it was an interesting idea, yet sadly missed a spark I was hoping for and sort of expecting.

I liked Imogen a lot. She’s passionate and supportive and I would love to go to a con with her. Her brother Milo was adorable and of course seeing Elle and Darien was fantastic. I wasn’t sold on Jessica. At the start she’s bratty {yes, it completely makes sense why} and I struggled to settle into the chapters with her POV.
Plot wise it’s sloooooooooooow. I was about 45% in and seriously considering a DNF, but I powered through. Thankfully when the action started it really got going and I was sucked into this world.
Ashley has such a fantastic way of writing about fandom and cons and fans in general. I loved that the story touched on the negative side of fandom, sexual harassment, social media, and how fans think they’re entitled to everything in a celebrity’s life.
