MY REVIEW I did not know what to expect when it came to Sloth - In all the previous books he is very mellowed and mysterious, always lurking in the shadows - to be honest in the past books he has creeped me out a bit. Getting to know him and his backstory brings to light a new character and a new impression.
No slow burn in this story, it’s basically instant love with Rush and Isabella, which is disappointing because the chase is my favorite part. I felt the timeline was a little off from the past books but liked the fact that we didn’t have to read a play by play again of every event as by book 6 we all get it.
I looked into his eyes, the beautiful gaze of a man who looked like a fallen angel with the morals of a sinner and an imperfect human heart.
Isabella crossed to the dark side a little too easily for my liking and I didn’t really get a good feel for Sloths dark persona, I thought he was heroic, broken and vengeful but definitely not bad. Although I didn’t enjoy this installment as much as the others in the series I am dying to know how it all ends, and I know the two K; s will sure make it dark, twisted and sure to end the series with a bang.

Memories of Love by MC Dalton GENRE: Romantic Suspense NARRATION: Narrative BOOK DETAILS: Standalone AUDIO AVAILABLE? No
THE STORY:
Isabella( Isobel) is an artist trying to rebuild her life after losing her memory in a bomb blast, flash backs and scars are her constant reminder that she used to be someone else, someone she does not remember.
The mystery surrounding Isobel’s past slowing begins to unfold when a handsome stranger keeps showing up in the same places she is at. Something about him is familiar and she is unexplainabley drawn to him.
Is this man someone from her past? Does he hold the answers to who she used to be? If so, why is he keeping it a secret?
This is a story full of suspense and heartbreak, it's about rediscovering a love that was once lost.

MY THOUGHTS: This is the first book I have read from this Author and is not the typical book I would read however I did enjoy the change. This is a light and entertaining read.
The story is immediately dynamic, setting the intrigue into motion. You are wanting to keep reading to get answers, all the while captivated by the mystery surrounding Isobel's past.
This story is set in Australia so therefore Australian slang and cognitions may confuse some overseas readers who are unfamiliar with the culture, but in saying that it does not affect the comprehension of the storyline.
The intimacy scene was well written and tactful, it's not a steamy romance but by all means it was not lacking in emotion nor sensuality.PG rated romance as I like to label it. It flowed well with the style of the story. It connected the characters with their emotions perfectly.
There is a real potential for this book to have a sequel as I just felt in my opinion the ending was unfinished. I wanted more closure to Tristan and Isobel’s future, I wanted to read more about their rediscovery of on another after being apart for so long and to witness their journey as they redevelop a new love and blossom in it. Perhaps this may have been achieved with an epilogue.
I really enjoyed reading Tristan and Isobel’s story. It’s about adversity after tragedy, listening to your instincts despite your fears and most of all it shows us that true love surpasses time and distance.

His heart is the RHYTHM. Mine is the ECHO.
THE STORY: A sweet, innocent Sixteen-year-old Brighton, was about to say goodbye to her twin brother who was about to be sent to prison for murder in a hit and run car accident. An older stranger at his farewell party captured her attentions and stole a kiss. A kiss that she would continue to relive in her dreams for years to come.
Five years later Ryland Brighton has moved to California determined to leave her trailer park life and alcoholic mother behind her. Everything was falling into place after securing a job interview and apartment through a random nice girl named Nicole she befriended at the park one day.
Brighton never imagined that when she attended her interview with Ryland Bennett the CEO of the Bennett Corporation he would be the same stranger that had kissed her all those years ago. He acts as though he doesn’t remember her and treats her as an inconvenience.
Then Brighton receives a note one-day stating that they possessed evidence that could exonerate her brother Brayden and to get the information she needed she must surrender control of her body and life to him for six months.
Desperate to free her brother from prison Brighton finds herself agreeing to the terms set out and is now sitting naked and blindfolded in front of someone who smells incredible, sounds frightening and is making her entire body tremble with need and desire.
This is a story of blackmailer turned lover, but when a relationship is formed on deceit, secrets and lies can it survive?
A restless and ruthless need for revenge could cost them everything!
This was the devil himself snaking his way inside of my heart and bending me to his will. This was addiction, quickly morphing into obsession. And somewhere in the clouded fog that was my brain, I knew this was a game I was going to lose. Brighton
[image] MY THOUGHTS:
Echo was my first choice after finishing Zavarelli's Boston Underworld series I was intrigued to read her other works having loved that series so much.
ʰ’s This is an intense, gritty and suspenseful read. I was literally holding my breath at some stages in anticipation then panting in apprehension. So many twists that I did not see coming I did not want to put the book down until I had the answers do not see coming will have you not wanting to put it down.
Ryland is rich, handsome and mysterious. A dangerous combination of heartbreaking loss and endless torment becomes his ultimate motive for revenge. There is a hidden lesson/message within the story about dealing with grief and moving on with your life after losing someone. Showing us how easy it is to get so consumed with anger and sadness that you become lost in the darkness unable to see right from wrong, indicating that we just need time and that right special person to show us the way back into the light allowing us to heal and love again.
Cons Brighton’s reaction to being blindfolded and naked in front of her blackmailer was too unconvincing and although she kept stating her body was betraying her she appeared ignorant to the danger she was in. She appeared to effortlessly trust this stranger as he took her virginity so roughly without protest. It was too contradictory to her character. I would have like her to put up more or a fight or had a sassier attitude perhaps.
The story flowed smoothly as all the puzzle pieces began to emerged into a clearer picture but then added abruptly on a killer cliff-hanger. The story continues in Book#2 Stutter.
MY RATINGS: (All ratings are out of 5) HERO RATING: 4 HEROINE RATING: 3 BLUSH RATING: 4 ROMANCE RATING: 3 DARKNESS RATING: 3 ENDING: N/A To be continued in Book#2 PLOT RATING: 5 OVERALL: 4
DO I RECCOMEND THIS BOOK? Yes, If you like a romance full of thrilling suspense, hot steamy sex and lots of twists.

Narrated by: Tracy Marks & Length: 7h 54min
Tracy Marks is one of my favourite female narrators, her performance is always entertaining and she has one of the best male impersonations for a female narrator. I highly recommend this audio version of Echo it enhances the story’s dramatic and intense scenes.

[image] The Body Painter by Pepper Winters GENRE: Contemporary Romance NARRATION: Dual POV BOOK DETAILS: Book #1 Masters of Trickery Duet MY REVIE [image] The Body Painter by Pepper Winters GENRE: Contemporary Romance NARRATION: Dual POV BOOK DETAILS: Book #1 Masters of Trickery Duet MY REVIEW
You know you are reading a Pepper Winters book when you’re internally screaming at the characters from the story. She has this distinct style to her writing that is unmistakably Pepper. That deep plot that just gets deeper and darker the further into it you read, those characters that pull you into their world and you live and breathe them. That storyline that has you hooked, addicted, obsessed!
Gilbert (Gil) and Olin’s (O’s) story is not a feel good one. Life has not been kind to either of them whilst they have been apart. Gil’s character is surrounded by so much mystery, there is a distinct sadness about him that makes you want to save him yourself. But no one can, not even Olin the woman who loves him with every fibre of her being.
The push and pull between the two is at time almost unbearable a times, but would I have it any other way? Probably not. This story is so full of angst you will want to throw it at times but it’s heart breaking, mysterious and passionate as two star crossed lovers find there way back to one another. I cannot wait to see where this story leads as it continues in Book#2 The Human Canvass
“You’re so strong. Strong enough to push me away, even when I tell you you’re in danger. Strong enough to give me everything you have, all because you’re selfless. Strong enough to forgive me, even though I’m the reason you’re in trouble. His nose nuzzled mine. “I need to know how you can do all that, endure everything you have, and still be good…because I…I’m really fucking struggling. Gil
