2.5 but I'm feeling catfished so I'm rounding down.
I'm so confused!!! You could cut 75% of this book out and it would maybe be an alright story. Inste2.5 but I'm feeling catfished so I'm rounding down.
I'm so confused!!! You could cut 75% of this book out and it would maybe be an alright story. Instead we have a book droning on and on about this woman's daily life. How many times did she let the dogs out? Why don't you tell me even more details about the accounts you're working on. I really want to know what bold fonts and colours you're using. What's that? The ghost cleaned your dishes after the meal you made where you basically told me how to cook it?
Then there are ghosts and things are about to take off and get exciting and the book ends.
Omg and I haven't even mentioned the romance that is so utterly boring. Zero chemistry and suddenly they're already in a relationship. *Yawn*
This is Nora Roberts? Not for me I guess.
Someone recommended a good ghost romance. Thanks....more
I have loved everything I've read by Abby Jimenez. This book is still well written and made me cry and I did enjoy I need time to process this one....
I have loved everything I've read by Abby Jimenez. This book is still well written and made me cry and I did enjoy it. However.
The miscommunication trope is rampant. Litterally one conversation could have saved SO much. It was to the point where she was just blatantly cruel and stringing him along.
Now let's talk about the infertility stuff, but I'll throw it behind a spoiler.
(view spoiler)[ Basically, she's choosing to get a hysterectomy because her life is literally miserable from always bleeding/cramping to the point where she's often in the hospital. But he makes an offhand comment one day about wanting lots of babies "The old fashioned way" so she refuses to be in a relationship with him or tell him about her issues.
From the beginning, I said "If she ends up pregnant, and that's how they get together, I will riot". I will give credit that they do get together/get married before they find out she's pregnant. But it was just so frustrating. Why does that have to be the HEA? I know they had agreed to do surrogacy before they discovered this, but why couldn't that be their HEA? It would have been nice for surrogacy or adoption be celebrated in this more. (hide spoiler)]
Anywho. Will still read the next book. It will proabably also make me cry....more
By far my fav Elle Kennedy book yet. I was really only reading this because I'm excited for book 3, but ended up really enjoying this one.By far my fav Elle Kennedy book yet. I was really only reading this because I'm excited for book 3, but ended up really enjoying this one....more
