I didn't think there was enough lead up between the heroine and hero to explain the depth of feelings in the end. The relationships between the people and the ghosts is sweet and I felt like there could have been even more mystery surrounding the lives of the ghosts. Hopefully as the series continues those stories will unfold as well. It was a light, cute read. Very British, so some of the references went over my head. I will probably read the other books as they come out.

The final conflict was so easily wrapped up I kept waiting for something else to happen. This was only my third Sandra Brown book, so I don't really know how this compares to her others. In general, everything could have benefitted from an intensity increase: the mystery, the romance, the writing...
The ending was rather abrupt, but the epilogue was really sweet - it was probably my favorite part.

Wren is a single mom with a surprising family connection that was very cool, actually. This causes problems for her budding relationship with neighbor Archer Green, president of Mayhem Riot MC, who has his own issues (of course).
It felt rushed, to be honest, and I think I would have gotten more out of it if I'd finished the Rake Forge and Stone Riders series (more Rake Forge than anything). I don't know, I kept feeling like I'd missed something or some part of the story. It just didn't pull me in like so many of her other books. It does seem like I'm in the minority based on the other reviews, so it may just not be for me.

The plot centers around the premise of a solar flare that knocks all power grids offline and the resulting chaos and mayhem that our hero and heroine, Tuck and Emily, are forced to confront as they travel across the country to their childhood homes. It's a little bit of a second chance romance, but I wish there had been more history laid out in the beginning, to help bolster the emotions on the back end. The middle of the book is a tad slow, but Ms. Sheridan picks up the pace toward the end in a satisfying way. It was good and I liked it, but it had potential for even more. Hopefully, someone in editing catches the errors that are still remaining, including the copied and pasted paragraphs I found a few chapters apart.
