The senseless murder of the Clutter family in Holcomb, KS, in 1959, certainly is upsetting to think about, and I found myself thinking about the crime in the middle of the night several nights in a row. But the book itself is quite masterfully told and not difficult to read.
Interestingly, the narrator seemed familiar to me, and it turns out he also narrated Devil in the White City by Erik Larson. That book haunted me a lot more than this one....more
