I was drawn in from the prologue, and still trying to figure out what was going on for most of the book. There was bit towards the end that seemed a little predictable to me, or at least, I figured it out, but there is still some mystery going on with it, so I didn't mind. I was a little shocked by something that happened at the end, but I'm excited to see where that goes and the fallout of it. Can't wait to get to the next book!
The only thing that I hated in this book, was the trafficking. I knew it was there before starting, but it's a theme that I can't stand, and I hate reading about it. It was giving very heavy Epstein/Maxwell vibes, and I couldn't get past the ick vibes from it. The writing and storytelling it top-notch, so I'm hoping that it will end will, but man did those bits get to me....more

It was supposed to be a stalker book, but he literally follows her ONE time, and it's a short distance. The whole book takes place in like a day or two, and there is no development or history that would be needed to make this an okay read. The audiobook was read by 1 person even though there were alternating view points. They were distinctly different voicings, but it would have been better to have a male do the guy parts....more

I have mixed feelings on this book. I think it's very interesting for a plot, and very mature and forward thinking way to conduct an open relationship. That being said, that mature open relationship was constantly shat upon by the heroine, even though she had agreed to it after making the Hero break (without their knowledge) his previous contracts with the other women. His duplicity and her inability to play by the rules, made me dislike them. BUT, I also feel like she had a very realistic reaction to the whole situation.
As for the audiobook. The narrator had a great voice for the main character. However, there was ZERO change in tone or voice when any other character was speaking, or when she was thinking something versus saying it out loud, so it made it hard to follow at times. ...more
