It was such an enormous undertaking and the outcome was so vast as to easily garner a peace pulitzer if it were to have been only one individual but it took the entire medical profession to make this change. Superb retelling of the beginning to future of the real need we as a society need. I only wish for such success in many more fields. Great examples and explanations. I highly recommend this book to anyone struggling in a field whose makeup consists of constant change and regular disasters. ...more

I have been putting this book off forever because everyone was saying it was such a good magic system and I really like science fiction better more than fantasy but Brandon has crossed a line here to create an epic story that revolves around a society of magical influence that also uses science. It was completely believable. I just wanna let every reader know this is an incredible book and well worth reading and I hope others in the series or by this author are as fantastic....more

Nothing like having a huge movie star that has a nerdy yet relatable hobby bc of her mom鈥檚 memory. It was all so really touching and fascinating. Really great read....more

I loved these characters. Both had their own strengths and flaws. There was a lot to delve into (ie manipulation, a tiny age gap but a huge career experience difference. I like how Rachel handled that career shift for the older character starting younger. If you read these to enjoy the sapphic sexcapades this was hot and sensual as well. I just really like the background story landscape with two pop music star navigating their world and showing us non-stars the difficulties and the perks. Great read. A single draw back was the dark knight of the soul moment was sort of weaksauce. Rachel will have to dig much deeper in her next 20 books to get a more realistic and heart wrenching climactic moment between characters. ...more
