Wow. This prologue almost had me stopping. r almost put the book down and said No More. It was sad, and I felt so helpless for the sweet boy. This story was too real. So much of the book was raw and gritty and completely overwhelming. But for these characters I could see the appeal of this lifestyle. By far, the most horrific first 50% a book I've ever read. But a happy ending

But overall the author was shallow on their strong love and them working out how they would be together, but very deep in the back story and them leading up to getting together. I realize that it is important to the story, but it's almost as if she had a deadline and needed to rush through to get it out to us. How could you go so quickly from realizing you'll be together to giving up your virginity? It was insta-love

I have a thing for the love triangle. I like the idea of a woman being wanted by two men and having the power to choose which heart she decimate with her decisions. This book put the most interesting twist on that. In this delicious novel of selfdiscovery, Lainie ends up being dragged through the ringer by both men. Oddly, I found it absolutely perfect. What an amazing man Stay was. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!!!

The writing was good, save the author's knowledge of th literal meaning of the word literally, but there was a few points of contention that should be addressed. First a girl with two jobs and school work would not go so quickly to bed with this fool. He wasn't sweet nor thoughtful. And forgiving him so quickly after being raised by a woman scorned so often is really unlikely....more
