Kiva, who stood up against her family, who sacrificed her magic so that Jaren could have his. Our brave, loyal, cheeky Prince Caldon. I adore him so much. Princess Ashlyn who appeared too late in this series, and that was a pity. The author didn't fully exploit the relationship between her and Caldon, which I would love to read.
And Naari, Torell, Tipp (the boy who was literally sunshine), Eidran (again, he was introduced way too late in this series), and also Cresta (the character who surprised me the most).
And last of all, Prince Deverick Jaren Vallentis. The people's prince, the crown prince. He is a breath of fresh air in a sea of morally gray, broody mmcs. He is gentle, thoughtful, caring. He is sweet, brave, loyal and he has a heart of gold. He deserves everything good.

In terms of plot intensity, Rebel Witch certainly surpassed Heartless Hunter. But I still managed to finish this book in a day. The story was fast-paced, with less than 500 pages. Perfect as I have just finished an entire series with over 800 pages per book. A little disappointing though; there were hardly any surprises. It was clear who the youngest Roseblood sister was right from the beginning, but the reveal of Wisdom's identity was a good one. I was hoping that Rune and Gideon would have a worthy battle with Cressida, but oh wells it fell short in this aspect.

I skimmed through the pages, barely registering anything. The only part of this book I like was the first few chapters when both Briar and Oliver were kids. 2.5 ⭐️...more
