Re-reading this series is one of my top 2025 priorities. And I pray I will chance upon another series that will wreck me the way every single book in TOG did....more

Her mmcs are remarkably well-written, imperfect and credible. They have flesh and blood. She really put her heart when she created Daniel, Jacob and Justin. I can't really decide who is my fave between these three..
These men have layers revealed as their stories unfolded which was simply amazing. Just for the Summer isn’t just another fluffy romance story. The author wrote and weaved the sensitive issues nicely throughout the entire book without too much melodrama.
There is without doubt that I’ll be reading the rest of her books!...more

Unless Liz Tomforde didn’t write this one herself, there is no way i’m not gonna love this book ...more

This was my first Abby Jimenez book, and now I know why her books are so popular. The plot development was almost perfect (neither too slow nor fast) , and I could really fall in love with a guy like Daniel Grant in real life. He was caring, sweet, and simply wonderful. Both his character and Alexis were realistically written, and I guess that was the real charm....more

I guess the world-building wasn’t overly complex or overwhelming. I’ve put off reading series like this (9 books!!) bc i need to be in the right headspace to process the story and connect with the characters. Quite a good start to this series with a well-placed cliffhanger, premise and interesting characters. I want to read more about the heirs, Orion and Darius, in particular. I can sense the plot thickening and simmering already. But i need more plot twists instead of the right-in-your-face-kind-of-villain.
I would rate the authors writing a 6/10. Very predictable dialogues that veers towards teens jealousy and unpleasant remarks, and i don’t particularly enjoy reading bullying tropes.
Hopefully the plot, writing and character development will pick up in the subsequent books....more

To expect the unexpected (very cliché I know but Throne of Glass taught me the hard way). I mentally prepared myself for betrayals and shocking truths, and for the hidden secrets. And to not believe everything i read.
I started this book feeling overwhelmed. Too many characters, places, names literally being thrown at me and it was quite confusing. I felt like there was a better buildup/pacing in the world of TOG. A little too ambitious perhaps? And when i realized that it was over 800 pages long, i wondered if i would feel like this for the rest of the book.
Surprisingly, i ended up liking Bryce more than i intended. On the surface, she does seem like a typical wild party girl who has more flings than she could count. But she loves her parents and friends fiercely and bravely, and she is strong. She is fragile and real. Wonderfully written character and i can’t wait to read more about her in the next book.
The last 20% of the book was what made this book amazing. The excitement, suspense, revenge, surprises and touching friendships. I love and hate SJM for shredding my heart once again with Lehabah, Danika, Conner and Fury. The friendships and loyalty are the best and worse things i love and hate about this author's books. She always breaks my heart and touches me in equal measures.
And finally, i want to read more about Hunt and Ruhn! The epilogue intrigued me very much, and i’m looking forward to reading more about the princes of hel....more
