I wish I had a pensive for my thoughts, then I could observe them better for me to try and write them here, but I'll try and do my best.

It was definitely all fun and games up until Cedric Diggory's tragic death. I don't know if all the joy I get from these books can cancel out the complete utter depression it puts me in every time at the end of the final chapters in each book.
Something that bothered me multiple times, but I don't know who to blame (could be my sensitivity), but I don't feel that neither Cedric Diggory, Sirius Black or Albus Dumbledore got nearly enough tribute after their death. It felt like the book just rushes everything after to not deal with the tragedy.
I was most touched by this passage: "Harry did not really listen. A warmth was spreading through him that had nothing to do with the sunlight; a tight obstruction in his chest seemed to be dissolving. He knew that Ron and Hermione were more shocked than they were letting on, but the mere fact that they were still there on either side of him, speaking bracing words of comfort, not shrinking from him as though he were contaminated or dangerous, was worth more than he could ever tell them." If anything I learned most profoundly in this series is that love and friends are the most important thing a person can have.
I learned a lot from professor Dumbledore, and this quote of his endured within me: "Have you any idea how much tyrants fear the people they oppress? All of them realize that, one day, amongst their many victims, there is sure to be one who rises against them and strikes back! In each book I read from this series I always think he can't get any wiser but the books proved me wrong. I already miss him 3
Comparing the book to the film I honestly preferred some bits that were changed in the film. Like when Ron and Harry reached for the Advanced Potion Making new book, or when Dumbledore died and everyone lighted their wands.
Ron was and still the most character that makes me laugh :) I remember I laughed out loud in the beginning of the book when they got their results: “Well, we’re N.E.W.T. students now! grinned Ron. “Mum, are there any more sausages? :D
and surely I have a lot of respect to J.K. Rowling for she always makes me see and feel such beautiful images of Hogwarts casually between the lines, sometimes such small details like how the candle lights reflect on the plates. She connects all the details together throughout the books which is super satisfying for fans who memorize the books like if their lives depended on it :P who, me? naaah ;) ...more
