If you want the unseen world, you're not living your truth.
Both wishes are foolish, but you'll be forgiven for forgetting that what you really want is love's confusing joy." - Rumi On Gambling
Preamble I have finally found my second favorite Non-Fiction book of all time! Gabriyell Sarom has magnificently elaborated and practicalised the steps to take, and procedures to follow, without which union with the inner realms will inevitably fail to bring about the needed results no matter the research done.
He has successfully mastered and then proceeded to dissect and dish out morsels of practical steps and guides for the student, initiate, teacher, master or even the curious reader to embark upon in one's search in the union with the divine.
As he succinctly points out somewhere, mysticism is nothing but achieving union with god.
Your essence is consciousness.
You are the fearless guardian of divine light.
So come, return to the root Of the root of your own soul.
- Rumi
By learning, practice and willful effort, verily, there is ample provision here for anybody to experience what few enlightened beings have been able to glimpse throughout the ages.
Thoughts The writing contains nary an unnecessary word making the volume quite slim and the explanation is thorough without being overwhelming providing multiple avenues to take on the path of the way, with the ultimate choice lying with the practitioner and the point at which his/her development along the path of the Dao stands.
Where The Kybalion stresses and expounds on theoretical concepts and metaphysical structures of thought, this book skips that in favor of "lab practicals". The Kybalion teaches you the underlying principles behind occultism and mysticism while this is a head long dive into how you can practically get results from a few careful albeit difficult to cultivate exercises...
Conclusion An absolute must read for all the curious spiritual seekers yearning for a touch of the numinous. An unshakable foundation with which a person can integrate and synthesize all the disparate occult teachings garnered and then continue to build upon the path of wisdom and illumination.

To those who have eyes, evil is most evident and the Supreme Good is hidden. For the Supreme Good has no form and leaves no mark. Thus it is like to itself, but unlike all else. What is unembodied, can never be seen by a body.
A great read about Hermitic philosophy and belief systems that's seen a marvelous translation in which the essence and story of the teachings glare through.
Highly recommended for people with these types of inquisitive proclivities.
"That Light whose smile kindles the universe, That Beauty in which all things work and move, That Benediction which the eclipsing Curse Of birth can quench not, that sustaining Love Which, through the web of being blindly wove By man and beast and earth and air and sea, Burns bright or dim, as each are mirrors of The fire for which all thirst, now beams on me, Consuming the last clouds of cold mortality."

This book in a nutshell teaches the concept that your belief systems create and manifest your individual reality.
As an aside, I picked this book up without reading anything on the author, reviews or anything related to the information contained within except for the title and cover. It came up as a recommendation while browsing for a book somewhere I don't even recall and it immediately grabbed my attention.
Upon finishing, I immediately delved into a related (synchronicity, I guess) text that at a glance one would be hesitant to link to this read, about the not new-to-me concept of Biocentricism and somewhat tangentially, Panpsychism [which is the view that all things have a mind or a mind-like quality. The word itself was coined by the Italian philosopher Francesco Patrizi in the sixteenth century, and derives from the two Greek words pan (all) and psyche (soul or mind), all exquisitely explained in Philip Goff's book, Galileo's Error (highly recommended too)] titled The Grand Biocentric Design by Robert Lanza.
I want you to understand that there is an invisible field of energy and information that exists beyond this three-dimensional realm of space and time—and that we have access to it. In fact, once you are in the present moment and you’ve entered this realm, which exists beyond your senses, you are now ready to create your intended reality. When you can take all your attention off your body, the people in your life, the objects you own, the places you go, and even time itself, you will literally forget about your identity that has been formed by living as a body in this space and time. It is in this moment that you, as pure consciousness, enter the realm called the quantum field—which exists beyond this space and time. You can’t enter this immaterial place with your problems, your name, your schedules and routines, your pain, or your emotions. You can’t enter as some body—you must enter as no body. In fact, once you know how to move your awareness from the known (the material physical world) to the unknown (the immaterial world of possibility) and you become comfortable there, you can change your energy to match the frequency of any potential in the quantum field that already exists there. (Spoiler alert: Actually, all potential futures exist there, so you can create whatever you want.) When a vibrational match occurs between your energy and the energy of that potential you select in the unified field, you will draw that experience to you. --- Excerpt from the Introduction
Be it your personal finance, health (most especially), anything really, by practicing the meditations and developing the will to implement your belief system, the author invites the individual seeker to take charge and shape or design whatever his desired future state ought to be according to personal wishes and forethought.
The text I think strives hard to stay as objective as these types of truths can, while also providing a scientific fulcrum with which he raises his theories and hypotheses. It is well written with expansive case studies cited, and step by step logical explanations given at all times.
A very powerful book indeed for the mindful reader trying to open up the inner realm of the body and I'll highly recommend this to any reader of spirituality, esoterica and ancient mysticism.

A very soothing recitation in the audio format, and quite short too, which can be found for free at librivox.org
It sounded kind of rushed and lateral lines of questions were seldom followed or explained. That not withstanding, I've found myself listening to this short audiobook (45 mins) about 5 times and yet...this is the first time I bothered to review it, I guess that sums it up nicely.
Recommended for people interested in a kind of a summary overview of the Occult version of dreams.
Read No. 6 update: The more I listen to this the more I corelate it's esoteric insights with books like The Kybalion which was an eye opener for me unlike this that insidiously grips me after every listen. Definitely worth a raise from a three to a five starred review. I've added it to my favorites-esoteric-occult shelf....more

2024 Read updates: As immersive and insightful as the first read.
The Lips of Wisdom are Sealed Except to the Ears of Understanding
It's so slim and packed with insight and wisdom it's simply a crime not to read this...And, in the degree that Man realizes the existence of the Indwelling Spirit immanent within his being, so will he rise in the spiritual scale of life. This is what spiritual development means—the recognition, realization, and manifestation of the Spirit within us. Try to remember this last definition—that of spiritual development. It contains the Truth of True Religion.
Profound and thought provoking: This is a piece of the wisdom of the Ancients that transcends Spacetime, the Cosmos and the Infinite Multiverse while also tearing away the veils that lie between the Metaphysical, the Supernatural, the Exoteric, Esoteric and Ephemeral philosophical concepts.

THE ALL is MIND; The Universe is Mental The Kybalion.
"Nothing escapes the Principle of Cause and Effect, but there are many Planes of Causation, and one may use the laws of the higher to overcome the laws of the lower."
"Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law."
"To change your mood or mental state change your vibration. One may change his mental vibrations by an effort of Will, in the direction of deliberately fixing the Attention upon a more desirable state. Will directs the Attention, and Attention changes the Vibration. Cultivate the Art of Attention, by means of the Will, and you have solved the secret of the Mastery of Moods and Mental States." Ìý To destroy an undesirable rate of mental vibration, put into operation the principle of Polarity and concentrate upon the opposite pole to that which you desire to suppress. Kill out the undesirable by changing its polarity.—The Kybalion.
Reading it is akin to having the readers' nictating membrane sliding off to reveal hidden wonders never before imagined possible to conceive of or even perceive; and then combining these insights into an undeniable whole that seems like the rantings of an insane sage and mystic from times bygone.
The absolute highest of my recommendation for all occult and esoteric readers. This is the hard meat for Mankind while the milk has been given to the Babes amongst us;
