Harry is able to find out more about his family - more about Sirius Black and the truth behind his supposed involvement in the death of his parents.
For Harry who has no real family - his aunt and uncle treat him horribly - it was tender to see that he had Sirius and that Sirius was lurking around Hogwarts not to harm Harry, but to protect him and to try and catch that slippery, slimy Wormtail.
And any book with time travel is a winner in my book....more

I felt like JK Rowling could have given readers a little bit of credit and skipped so much of the repeat HP history lesson and created a better storyline.
BUT STILL - great book - I could never write anything as creative as this - and this is the first book where a horcrux comes into the picture...which of course you don't know it's a horcrux at the time...but still...further proof of JK's genius....more
