(I read this book a while ago)
Right, let me start this by saying that this book is over rated.
*prepares for mega shitstorm*
Lemme explain
Right, I didn't hate this book. It was actually really entertaining at some parts and that's a good thing. Of course, John Green's writing was amazing as always. But I just don't feel like this story was going anywhere. I didn't like a majority of the characters. I found Margo to be the most obnoxious character in the history of obnoxious characters. In my opinion, all she really does is look for attention. I didn't like her and I definitely didn't see what Q saw in her.
Speaking of which, Q is -in my a opinion - SO naive when it comes to Margo. I mean he didn't even know her that well and then she just goes off on her ego-trip and he leaves everything behind him to follow her. (I dont really remember but she didn't even want to be found, right? So why leave all these clues?)
Even though I didn't like the two main characters, I actually really liked the supporting characters in this. Especially Ben. But also Radar and Lacey were awesome to be honest.
And all the roadtrip moments with them together were really fun to read about too.
So I think its a 50/50 situation for me. I didn't like Margo and Q and the plot, but I liked Ben, Lacey, Radar and the writing style.
Honestly, I prefer Looking for Alaska over this one but that's just my opinion. I know it's an unpopular one but, oh well.
