This book was fantastic. To know it was written by a woman, from a man's perspective, and that this women studied the circus life around those times for years is quite impressive. Her research and heart are well expressed through the lives of the rich, colorful characters she creates. This book felt like a friend while I read it. I was sad when it was over. I highly recommend it.
