Overrated. Manic pixie girl sigh loved from afar by outer nerd-inner hipster guy. For me there were too many moments where I would need to suspend disbelief. That's ok in fantasy or sci-fi or guilty pleasure romance but not in smart coming-of-age style books of the kind this author writes. We're supposed to believe that this girl is independent and clever enough that she has hidey-holes all over town to all the forgotten corners and connections to all the locked high places... And she manages to feed and cloth herself and never get hurt or attacked? I'm sorry, no. She's not some street-wise homeless kid or con artist, she's a 17 year old middle class girl with lame parents and intermittent access to a vehicle.

Mainon I agree, definitely not my favorite of his. Although the all-night vengeance ride was pretty great, that was the high point for me (and it came early on).
