I enjoyed this maybe less than I liked Merchant of Venice, to which I also gave one star. That might have something to do with the ending, which I felt wasn't done too well. It was abrupt, and seemed cut short somehow. Maybe that has something to do with Iago not speaking after he gets caught. Exactly what was going through his mind? What made him commit those acts in the first place? He kept listing different motives, so his motivation seemed convoluted, and what was he like leading up to this decision? Normally I'm fine without explanations in books, while others want to know the answers, but I feel like the little I knew of Iago made the play suffer.
Also, the storyline's rather predictable (well, it IS Shakespeare). It's written well, but I knew all that was going to happen and in what order (I had a feeling Roderigo would be the first to go). Maybe that's part of it.
