It was very interesting to read about a country I knew so little about. Book shows how Ghaddafi's tyranny destroyed the lives and hopes of those working to bring Libya to the modern world. Well written from the point of view of an American brought into that world in a turbulent time. Good reading, culturally informative and engaging.
