I have mixed feelings about this book.

Mostly, the intense flipping between calm and violent emotions of all the characters is what bothers me. The plot kind of plods along at times, but it's still kept interesting. I'll read the next book, but still not sure how I feel about this entire thing.

Erica Brown I kind of had the same sentiments too with this book. It started out with an appealing premise but felt awkward at times. It nearly lulled me to sleep toward the end. The second book was one big Elizabethan history lesson so if that's your cup of tea, maybe you'll like it. But I also did end up dropping it around the 200 mark so maybe it picks up.
