it was amazing

I LOVE THIS BOOK I LOVE THIS BOOK I LOVE THIS BOOK.

Thank God SOMEBODY recommended All the Names and I just happened to pick it out of 700+ titles on my Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ list. And thank God I got through my initial you-gotta-be-fucking-kidding-me moments, exasperated by his writing style, to keep reading till the end. THAT book lodged in my brain, causing me to reflect on the story in bathroom mirrors and grocery store checkout lines for nearly a year after finishing (still thinking about it). After a while I wondered if that guy wrote other stuff... Um, you could say so. Apparently, an internationally beloved writer and Nobel Prize recipient, Saramago was EXTREMELY prolific. So... Lucky me.

Going to take a Saramago break (I'm exhausted and I have a lot to do, having spent so much time in Jose's world...) and then I'm back. His writing style can be alienating (hated AtN when I started) but I'd strongly suggest anyone picking up one of his books finish it. If you hate it in the end, perhaps that's enough. But if you finish and find yourself unable to forget it you'll be so much richer for grabbing that bus and trying out all the seats.

Can't say it enough. I LOVED THIS.
