My first Heyer. Definitely a favorite! First read when I was a teenager.
Reread Sept 2019 and am SO impressed with author’s research even to the cant of that day and the mores ...totally recommend
this.
2023 Read other reviews and have to agree that there is much not rosy in the tale. I did not take into account the negatives in my first review .. would lose at least one star at this point.
