really liked it

Allie Fox is a man that believes the world was made incomplete and it was his job to improve and finish as much of it as he could while here. The story of Allie Fox is is both fascinating and heartbreaking. He is a genius inventor that loves the USA so much he packs up his family and leaves because he can't stand to watch it go into the toilet. Told from the perspective of the young teenaged\ son, Charlie, the family is sailed away to Honduras and the Mosquito Coast. Allie wants to create a Utopia where people work hard and live happy and waste nothing. After buying some land he sets out to do just that. The mad genius character is great and Theroux really makes you feel for him even though you know he's crackers and acting selfishly much of the time. A fast read with a lot to offer. You'll find yourself thinking about things from this book long after you finish reading.
