AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry... I just had another heart murmur. Ness just about killed me with words then pulled out a defibrillator and brought me back to life. That happened about fifteen times throughout this novel, and it left me physically and mentally exausted. Then a read it a couple more times.

I thought I wouldn't be able to take the fact that this series has come to an end. Chaos Walking, New World and all its inhabitants and dramas, were portrayed so well by Ness, they became almost real to me as I'm sure they did to many many others. These books have changed me and the way I look at things. Chaos Walking has become a part of me. And even though it all has ended, the ending was so different than I expected, so much more amazing, and I promise I won't give anything away, this ending was so beautifully planned and written that I can't even complain that it's over.

I LOVE THESE BOOKS! !ME ENCANTADA MONSTERS OF MEN! And I love love the characters. I swear, if Todd was a real person I would marry him (sorry, Viola). But first I would give him a few good slaps in the face for all the stupid thing's he's done. Well, actually I guess he's already been through enough. And I envy Viola. She's such a strong, smart, and loyal person. A true role model. I even love the Mayor, as a villan, I mean. He's deliciously evil and decieving.

Well, I could write about this book all day, but I must get back to reading it (again). ;)

PS---I just started a fan club for this series because there aren't very many, so if you're reading this, I hope you'll join!!!

Patrick Ness
“To say you have no choice is to relieve yourself of responsibility.”
Patrick Ness, Monsters of Men

Patrick Ness
“His noise is getting quieter, but I can still see it there still-
See how he feels the skin of my hand against his, see how he wants to take it and press it against his mouth, how he wants to breathe in the smell of me and how beautiful I look to him, how strong after all that illness, and how he wants to just lightly touch my neck, just there, and how he wants to take me in his arms and-
"Oh, God," he says, looking away suddenly. "Viola, I'm sorry, I didn't mean-"
But I just put my hand to the back of his neck-
And he says, "Viola-?"
And I pull myself towards him-
And I kiss him.
And it feels like, finally.”
Patrick Ness, Monsters of Men
