Elantris (Elantris, #1)

At this point in time I did not like this book at all. I had an extremely hard time getting into the plot, the characters and the world. Perhaps I am comparing it a bit much to the Stormlight Archives, but this was really horrible compared to the brilliant The Way of Kings.
More to the point: The pacing was extremely odd. The characters... I just didn't care for any of them; something about the world in general didn't capture me. Everything from the names, to the religions, governments etc.
This review and rating is tentative for now. I did not finish the book. Which is rare for me; extremely rare. This almost NEVER happens in fact. So, I hope one day my interest will peak again and I will give it another shot from the beginning and like it, if not at least be able to finish it. As of now I will keep it in the short stack labeled "unfinished" and call it a day. There are bigger fish to fry.
