Creative writing at its best. A romp where we have atheist Russia debating whether Jesus exists and being hoodwinked by the Devil at the same time. There is love, faith, loyalty, greed, ignorance and blind obedience to the State. The characters are wacky but believable, their adventures full of life (and death) and for a Russian author it is so readable.
