Daniela Felt the same, after all that angst, uncertainty and deceit the ending was a bit dull

James Lawner Then why give it 4 stars?

²Ñ²¹°ùí²¹ For me ir wasn't worth more than 2 stars. I don't get the hype. HOW is this book a NYT best seller?!

Hugo Yep it's not that good

Paola Piliado I dont feel its that well written either

Kaitlyn Felt like there was so much build up and was just let down..

Kaitlyn Ferrier Just finished it. Decent but not the "gripping thriller" all the hype suggested it would be. 3 stars.

message 8: by Peg (new) - rated it 3 stars

Peg Flat was a good description. I was disappointed in it begin billed as "gone girl" - not even close.

Angeline Geary Felt ending was poor but enjoyed apart from that

message 10: by Jennifer (last edited Jun 05, 2015 03:29AM) (new)

Jennifer Abumere good book I think it was a great book

Pascale Perreault-Smith Felt the exact same way. Just finished it last night. I loved the majority of the book and the last few pages but most of the ending felt a bit cheesy to me. I would still recommend it though and also gave it four starts because as a whole, it was good.

George Okinaka I completely agree with you about the ending.

Ebony Rose I AGREE. The ending was good, but the only part of the book that left something to be desired for me.

Shirley Just finished. Felt the same way. I was absolutely disappointed about the ending.

Jamie Thistle I felt the same way...I got to the end and thought "Is that it?!". I'm glad I read the book but it wasn't as great as everyone said it was.

Shawneshoo Eshoo Ditto

Steph I really didn't get Anna's thought process at the ending! There's a point in one of her chapter's where it seems that she's contemplating STAYING even after all has been revealed. What? I didn't think that fit with her character at all.

Sujith S v panikar oh. :(

message 19: by Adam (new) - rated it 5 stars

Adam I felt the same way. The ending was very sloppy.

message 20: by Paul (new) - rated it 4 stars

Paul I also felt the ending detracted as it fell into very cliched screenwriting territory.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

I enjoyed reading the book but yes, I agree, the ending was very unrealistic and way too overdone.

Katherine I felt like so many things made no sense. Based on her comments like "I win" and "if only you hadn't gone breaking my heart you could still be here" I think Anna killed Elise. The author needed to clear that up. It was not a cliff hanger, just flat out annoying. I did over all enjoy the book though. 4 stars.

Katherine Omg. I thought I was writing on dangerous girls. Sorry. I felt like the girl on the train was a great book but the whole thing that tom was the one who did it really doesn't add up to me

message 24: by Lynn (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lynn Couldn't agree more!

Nancy K Exactly. I was enjoying it until the end and found myself rolling my eyes a bit.

Tatiana Caycedo Totally agree!

Jennie I felt the same way.

Garvin Matthews If you love this book, check this book out. Below is the trailer and it will be released on the 29th of July

Harry So very cliched and predictable ending I was disappointed and I rolled my eyes when the truth was revealed. I was hoping for a 'Wow' but I got a mediocre plot, no plot twist, nothing

Avita exactly what I thought...

Anne C. same. the ending was a bit disappointing. i expected more.

message 32: by Ogo (new) - rated it 4 stars

Ogo atueyichukwu me too. why does it always have to end like that.

Paula I completely agree. I was obsessed and hooked all the way until the end. It's almost like a completely different author took over and it wasn't the same book.

Cindy I agree. Very disappointed in the ending. Kind of Lame.

Grace Can someone help me understand - I thought when scott was talking to Rachel he said that the police found Megan's phone- so how did tom have it too? Also what was the relevance of the 2 sets of clothes on the track?

Good read though

message 36: by Nina (new) - rated it 4 stars

Nina Same here. Great to read, and the ending was like your average Hollywood thriller. Yawn.

Hegemb I agree. I was enjoying it a lot, but then the ending completely ruined it for me.

message 38: by Ann (new) - rated it 3 stars

Ann Lee I agree completely. It held my interest throughout the book. Great characters, etc. (although I became frustrated with Rachel) But, the end was like a cheap Lifetime channel movie. Disappointed, but still a pretty good read.

Natalia I don't really understand why Anna seems to threaten Rachel in the end, at the police station. Besides, there is no point in lying about the corkscrew.

Lara xoxo i agree the ending was a bit flat however i also feel like the story was well thought out and paula hawkins is a great writer!?! i thought it was a good book and good movie

message 41: by Hawry (new) - added it

Hawry How can I read it here

message 42: by Rosy (new) - rated it 3 stars

Rosy Yes I agree I seriously thought Anna and Tom killed Megan

Tahrin Choudhury I am reading this book right now.

Shahana shirin The starting was slow ..it hooked me up in the middle and the ending was dull..i knew the killer from the middle onwards.i think gonegirl is better than this

OdyseaBoatRentals nice
