Paper Towns

To be completely honest, I hated this book.
The concept of 'paper towns' and chasing something as elusive as the wind was beautiful. However, to me it was basically fruitless. Green's mentioning of Moby Dick in the book, I think, was to draw parallels between the captain's obsession and Q's. Instead of seeing it heriocally, as Q suggested in the book, it seemed to me like idiocy. It was not an appealing trait; 'Margo' was stained upon Q's tongue and printed into his mind. This only made me dislike Q's and Margo's characters. In fact, I found Radar the most tolerable character, and Ben's comedic relief was much appreciated. Green had lovely language and dialogue, but this was not a book I remotely even liked. I'd heard many rave reviews of it, and one of my friends is enamored with it. All this anticipation and it all fell flat!
