Dark Origins (Level 26, #1)

To me, this was a very challenging book to read. It contained so many shocking and horrifying elements that I've considered putting the book away and leave it for what is several times. There's a lot of strong language, animal cruelty (which I find so hard to read about as a devoted vegan!), violent abuse. Seriously, for some of the stuff these writers came up with, you ought to have a little bit of a sick mind yourself. Yes, admit it now, Anthony and Duane.
To me, the romantic storyline seemed a bit misplaced. Especially the way these relationships are eventually dealt with. My advise to the writers: stick to the angst, which you're good at. Leave the fluffy stuff to Stephanie Mayer.
The concept of digi-novel is original and it's great to view as well as read along with it. I'm very much looking forward to book 2. That is to say...if I can gather the courage to put myself through another nightmare.
