Portrait of a Turkish Family

This book was recommended to me by a bookseller in Istanbul and I am very glad I took him up on the recommendation. A first person narrative, the author grew up in a well-to-do Muslim family in Istanbul. This book details what the family, and the rest of Istanbul, experienced during WWI. A treasure of a book.
