I tried very hard to like this book, but with an asexual character on one side, and an abused one on the other, the story and the characters really needed to ring true in order for it to work. Unfortunately, I felt that the characters were two-dimensional, the issues addressed only touched upon superficially, and Josh as a character struck me as overly weepy and pathetic. In addition, the voices were far too similar.

This was my first book with an asexual character and I expected so much from it, but it really had no redeeming qualities at all.
