So, it's a brand new month which means BRAND NEW BOOKS that are coming to our bookstore and online retailers for us to enjoy! My first new book for June (and for my blog - eek!) is "Moonlight on Nightingale Way" by Samantha Young. Wow, if you guys have never read any of her books you should definitely add her to your MUST READ NOW list. She's from Scotland and writes contemporary romance as well as quite a few paranormal romance books. "Moonlight on Nightingale Way" is the sixth installment of her On Dublin Street series. If you're new to the series, you can start with the first novel or jump in with this amazing read!

4.5 Stars!!!

Logan spent two years paying for the mistakes he made. Now, he’s ready to start over. He has a great apartment, a good job, and plenty of women to distract him from his past. And one woman who is driving him to distraction

Grace escaped her manipulative family by moving to a new city. Her new life, made to suit her own needs, is almost perfect. All she needs to do is find her Mr. Right—or at least figure out a way to ignore her irresistible yet annoying womanizer of a neighbor.

Grace is determined to have nothing to do with Logan until a life-changing surprise slowly begins turning the wild heartbreaker into exactly the kind of strong, stable man she’s been searching for. Only just when she begins to give into his charms, her own messy past threatens to derail everything they’ve worked to build

I've been a fan of Samantha Young's On Dublin Street series from the beginning. Every hero is one I want to be real so I can meet him, hug him and yes, possibly kiss him. Logan is no different. Fighting to rebuild his life after spending two years in prison for beating up his sister's abusive boyfriend, he's also taking the time to, shall we say, sample what he missed while behind bars? His actions have put him up against Grace, his neighbor who has had to suffer the indignity of finding vomit on her front step from Logan's one night stand. The sparks leap up off the page and almost blind the reader every time Grace and Logan face off in the book.

Then when Grace helps Logan in navigating his "life-changing surprise" and the relationship develops from feuding neighbors into a sweet friendship your heart is filled with the sweetness and just plain cuteness of the two together. Grace begins to fear falling for this sweet and protective mess of a man as life shows how much alike the two are.

I let his solid, secure warmth rush over me.

I breathed him in.

And I wished that this moment didn't feel as perfect as it did.

The rest of the book follows them as Grace continues to fight her attraction for her neighbor. Their relationship deepens and gets sweeter and more true each time they come together to deal with trouble. (Sorry for the vague description, I'm doing my best to avoid spoiling the book!) But then Grace's guard comes down and Logan reveals his attraction for her and they spend a beautiful night together. The next morning Logan calls it all a mistake and wounds Grace horribly. She returns to her shell from before, avoiding any confrontation with Logan and trying to stay out of his way. But when Logan needs her while facing trauma from his prison past Grace steps up. Their attraction is too strong and he begs for another chance.

"There have been a few women over the last eighteen months who I sparked with.. that spark of potential. I walked away. I didn't take their number and I certainly didn't sleep with them. Because I didn't want serious. I didn't want reality. I just wanted oblivion.

"But you - I can't walk away from you even if I wanted to. And I don't want to.You are reality and sweet oblivion wrapped up in one annoyingly argumentative, always-bloody-right, classy, gorgeous-as-f*** package."

I cheered at this part and I'm not ashamed to admit it!!! Instead of fighting his attraction for Grace, Logan begins fighting for their relationship. The beauty and love Samantha Young can show the reader in a romantic relationship always steals my breath. This story was an exciting and beautiful trip and I cannot wait to take it again! I also encourage you to get this book and join me!
