It was beautifully written and it gave you a perspective of the characters you felt like you knew their culture and very different perspective of their world, coming from India to America and the transition of values. and it not being easy especially from the older characters perspective.
What I liked was the respect the main character had for the American culture and she didn't try to change America but adapt to her new surrounding's by giving honor and respect to the country that they fled too. For various reasons such as poverty and over population.
.. I find it to be an excellent read and recommend it for anyone who is interested in cultural differences.
Though also a new start in a county who is constantly being bashed yet they let all these people in to the U.S for a better life.
This is a book of gratitude not of greedy selfish ambition.
