Ham on Rye

Bukowski's take on his childhood. In light of his abusive, dysfunctional father & mother, he is able to put a humorous spin on the version of events he endured throughout his childhood and adolescents. There is much more to Bukowski then his simple rejection of the social elites. Bukowski doesn't just simply give up on "climbing the social ladder" he didn't want or care to climb in the first place.
